 Ms. Hill has appeared 
  with such prominent North American companies as Houston Grand Opera, Washington 
  Opera, Vancouver Opera, Omaha Opera, Florentine Opera, Skylight Opera Theatre, 
  and Glimmerglass Opera. She is a favorite at Seattle Opera, where, since debuting 
  as Romilda in Xerxes opposite Frederica von Stade, she has returned to perform 
  Rosalinda in Fledermaus and First Lady in Die Zauberflöte Roles she has 
  sung nationally include Anne Trulove in The Rakešs Progress , Violetta in Traviata 
  , Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia , Donna Elviria in Don Giovanni and the 
  title role in Lucia di Lammermoor . She was recently featured in Eos Orchestra's 
  "Six Miniature Operas". Ms. Hill has made a specialty of contemporary 
  opera, creating leading roles in the world premieres of Meredith Monk's Atlas 
  at Houston Grand Opera, Philip Glass' Orphée at the American Repertory 
  Theatre and at BAM, David Del Tredici's monodrama Dracula with the EOS Orchestra, 
  Carly Simon's Romulus Hunt for the Metropolitan Opera Guild and Kennedy Center, 
  and Louis Andriessen's De Materie , directed by Robert Wilson for The Holland 
  Festival at the Netherlands Opera. Ms. Hill also created the leading role of 
  Alice B. Toklas in the Off- Broadway premiere of Jonathan Sheffer's opera Blood 
  on the Dining Room Floor Since her 1987 European debut at Netherlands Opera 
  as La Maraine in Cendrillon , Ms. Hill has returned to Europe to sing Pat Nixon 
  in both the London Symphony Orchestra's concert version and the Vienna Opera 
  Theater's staged production of John Adams' Nixon in China portrayed Nerone in 
  a Göttingen Festival production of Handel's Agrippina conducted by Nicholas 
  McGegan and recorded by Harmonia Mundi, and Greta Fiorentino in Street Scene 
  Berlin, in a Houston Grand Opera production which was telecast and released 
  on video. Ms. Hill's other recordings include , and Werner's Deborah Comfortable 
  in "crossover" repertoire, Ms. Hill has sung roles including Carlotta 
  in the 1995 national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera , and 
  Maria in West Side Story with the London Symphony Orchestra, and appeared in 
  an American musical theater program at the Covent Garden Festival. Ms. Hill's 
  upcoming engagements include the roles of Woglinde and Freia in the EOS Orchestra's 
  chamber version of Wagner's Das Rheingold , and her San Francisco Opera debut 
  as Constance Fletcher in Virgil Thomson's Mother of Us All , a role she has
